Cycling Area
Northern Italy, with its diverse terrain, offers some of the best riding in the world.
We are located in the middle of northern Italy, surrounded by both the Alps and the Dolomite Mountain ranges. Located on the south side of Lake Garda, we are part of the Lake Region of Italy. Our position at the south of the lake provides us with a variety of ride types: flat around the lake, hills to our east in the Valpolicella wine region, and mountains as we head north into the foothills of the Alps. A short trip by van also allows us to explore the Dolomites.
3 difficulty ride levels
With varied terrain: flat, undulating, hilly, shorter climbs, mountainous and long difficult climbs
LAKE GARDA
- Difficulty: Easier
- Type of terrain: Flat/undulating
Ride along the roads of Lake Garda. The road is flat and very scenic with the shimmering water to one side and views of the mountains in the distance. Rides along the lake will take you to the many quaint and colorful villages on the lake.
VALPOLICELLA
WINE AREA
- Difficulty: Medium
- Type of terrain: Hilly, with shorter climbs
Valpolicella is characterized by its rustic climbs, through fruit-tree covered hills and picturesque vineyards. This is the territory where the grapes for Amarone wine and our local cherries are cultivated. The city of Verona is nearby.
COLLINE MORENICHE
TO THE SOUTH
- Difficulty: Easier to Medium
- Type of terrain: Undulating, with some short climbs
Our routes in this area offer you practically traffic free roads. Following the path of the turquoise Mincio River, rides take you along canal paths and through rolling green farmland. The charming town of Mantova sits along the Mincio River in this area.
MONTE BALDO & LESSINIA
OUR MOUNTAINS
- Difficulty: Hard
- Type of terrain: Mountainous, with long difficult climbs
Monte Baldo is the highest peak around Lake Garda and the road takes us high up the mountain to the ski facility. This is also the longest climb in the Verona area (25 km, a difference in altitude of 1800m, with a maximum slope of 15%). Across the valley to the East is the Lessinia plateau with an alpine meadow at an altitude of 1000m. Lessinia makes for a great summer ride through mountain scenery.
